Knoon agents are available in three types: Chat, Work, and Translation.

Chat Agents

Chat Agents interact directly with end users. They can access external tools or OpenAPIs, search knowledge bases, and integrate with external messaging channels. These agents are designed for public or customer-facing use cases such as:

  • Handling support inquiries

  • Answering FAQs

  • Providing instructions or recommendations

  • Using external tool actions to deliver customer support

Chat agents are your organization’s outward-facing digital assistants.

Work Agents

Work agents operate inside Work Boxes, making them internal-only and securely connected to the tools and data your organization relies on. They can access internal and external tools or OpenAPIs and search knowledge bases. They collaborate with other Work agents to complete multi-step processes efficiently.

Examples include:

  • A team of marketing agents planning campaigns

  • A planning team coordinating schedules and resources

  • SEO, outline, writing, and publishing agents working together to produce blog content

  • Refund approval agents managing financial decisions

  • Finance agents preparing budgets and forecasts

Work Agents quietly handle the operations that keep your business moving.

Translation Agents

Translation Agents specialize in language localization. They help unify terminology and ensure accuracy across regions and departments. Their responsibilities include:

  • Translating content in knowledge base articles

  • Applying standardized vocabulary and style rules

  • Making content globally consistent and locally relevant
